Application of Temperature IC
Motors: There are many different aspects of motors and most of these require temperature measurement to ensure the motor itself does not overheat.
Surface plates: Ring terminal temperature sensors are often used on surface plates as they can be mounted onto a flat surface and measure temperature effectively.
Home appliances: Kettles, toasters, washing machines, dishwashers and coffee machines will all contain temperature sensors.
Computers: Within computers there are temperature sensors to ensure the system does not overheat
Industrial equipment: Temperature sensors used within these applications will need to be robust as the environment can be very demanding.
Warming electrical radiators: Ntc thermistors are used to control the heat on electric radiators.

The rated working voltage range of the sensor is 1.4V~5.5V DC, and the maximum quiescent current in the entire working rage is 10µA (temperature measurement frequency 4Hz). The on-chip 12-bit ADC offers resolutions down to 0.0625°C.
The digital temperature sensor adopts SOT563 / DFNWB package of 1.6mm×1.6mm, is compatible with SMBus and I² interface, and allows up to four devices on one bus. The device also features an SMBus alert function.
Components of Temperature IC
Sensing element: The temperature is generally sensed by a sensing element which May be a diode or thermistor, and its electrical properties (like voltage or resistance) vary according to temperature.
Signal conversion: This analog signal from the sensing element flows to an analog-to-digital converter (adc). The adc will enable this continuous analog signal to be converted as a digital signal corresponding to the measured temperature.
Digital processing: The integrated microcontroller in the sensor takes care of the processing concerning the digital signal which includes the calibration, correction of nonlinearity, and scaling to end up with accurate readings related to temperature.
Output interface: Then the effective digital data now will be transmitted through an established standard communication protocol, such as i2c, spi, or uart. With this, the sensor can directly communicate with other digital devices, such as microcontrollers or computers.
